Why Do Religious Leaders Need An Online Presence

The world is continuously being polarized by religious forces. People turn to heads of religion in times or disasters or abnormal events. They yearn some divine information or indication as to what they way forward is, for themselves or their communities. This means that timely updates, correct information and a clear message must be sent out to the faithful. What better way to do it than a website? This article discusses how a website is the most essential tool for a religious head or body to maintain their online presence.

Promote their religion

One of the primary reasons why religious leaders keep a website and use it regularly, is because they want to promote their religion or beliefs through it. Many religious leaders have an entire IT team working on their website and constantly making changes or updating the content on it. Not only do they have a person to regularly update their website content and news, but they also have a person making live updates or posting information to their social networking accounts connected to the websites. An excellent example of the use of a website to promote a religious leader is that of the Pope. The Pope has a team of professionals ensuring that his followers and fans are kept constantly up to date about his thoughts and beliefs.

Consolidate religious groups and factions

An important use of the internet, by religious leaders is to consolidate smaller or even larger groups, sects, factions and offshoots. A website forms a common thread or place of information or like a bulletin board where all the different groups or factions of a group can come together. Many religious heads use it to galvanize the various sects and sub-sects within their religion or community and to provide them a unified platform for obtaining information, exchanging ideas, promoting their community or religion and also as a support system for other communities.

Update followers and the faithful

The vast reach and the quick spread of information is the main reason why every system of authority needs a website. Since every religion or religious head conducts or observes various festivals, and organization of those festivals means coordinating with people, it is imperative to reach the masses using a quick and inexpensive means of communication. Many religious biggies and groups effectively use websites to highlight holidays, seasonal gatherings, festival dates, prayer meeting details, reverence gatherings and also common worship days.

Clarify misconceptions

Though the website is undoubtedly a very effective tool for internal communication as well as external communication, its true test lies in how effective it is in resolving misinformation and clarifying doubts in the minds of people. Many religious leaders have issued turning point statements through their websites, during times of war, calamity, terrorist attacks and even political events, which have twisted the future for the good or bad. Most people who have been following or constantly watching their websites feel that there is definitely a trend towards more updates and more micro blogging of their lives, something which interests their followers, especially because their every move and gesture is interpreted and an underlying meaning can be applied to it.

Dominant Traits of a Successful Internet Marketer

Internet marketing is a brave new world these days. Do you know any successful internet marketers? Do you know any unsuccessful internet marketers? Are you an aspiring internet marketer yourself?

I know several of each, both successful and unsuccessful. The unsuccessful are past friends, long gone, back to the daily 9 to 5 JOB. I was thinking of them recently and trying to decide what separates the ones that win online and the onlines that don’t. Here is my top 8 dominant traits of a successful internet marketer.

1. Faith. Whether you believe in God, a higher power, or worship any other gods, in my opinion you must have faith. To me, faith means believing in the unknown. I am a Christian, raised in the South. I believe in the trilogy, God the father, Jesus the son, and the holy spirit. Having a relentless, God first mentality is more important, in my opinion and belief, than anything else. Whatever you believe in, having faith is my top priority.

2. Family. Does your family support your decision? Does your family know about your internet marketing business? Does your family know about your internet marketing desires? Having the support of your family is highly important. After all, who loves you more than family? No one.

3. Relationships. Does your spouse or partner support your internet marketing business? If not, therein lies big trouble. If so, congratulations. You see, in my opinion, any successful internet marketer knows that the work ethic to succeed online is not matched or equalled in the normal 9 to 5 corporate world. If your spouse or partner is not supporting you, the time spent building your business can cause major issues.

4. Mentor. Having a mentor or mentors is very important as well. After all, I don’t know of any colleges, universities or formal educational institutions where you can learn the ins and outs of internet marketing. Having a mentor to learn from, to ask questions, with live or recorded video training and teaching is vital. The internet is constantly evolving. Learning from your mentor should be fun. If you don’t have a mentor, then find one. Just make sure your mentor is reputable and has your best interests at heart.

5. Desire. Your mentor can only teach you so much. Your mentor can only point you in the right direction. The rest is up to you. Do you have the desire to succeed online? Are you willing to do what is necessary until the job is done? That inner desire can’t be purchased. That inner desire can’t be faked. That inner desire comes from no one else. Do you have it?

6. Marketing Plan. Do you have a marketing plan? In my opinion, there is no one perfect marketing plan. That’s why the guru’s do massive split testing to determine what works best for their business. You should do the same. If you don’t know what works best, your efficiency level will suffer. Working hard is good, but working smarter is better. Put your efforts into what works best for your business.

7. Stickt-to-it-iveness. This is plain and simple. Don’t give up, don’t ever give up. Finish what you started. You will have to tweak and change as you go, but stick to it. Think big, aim high, but never quit.

8. Platinum Rule. This is similar to the golden rule (do unto others as you would do unto yourself). However, I try to live by the platinum rule. Do more unto others as you would do unto yourself. If you help others succeed, that will only help your business.

Mistakes Everyone Usually Makes When Trying To Make Money Online

Some people will set up a work from home online business foolishly thinking that they will make millions in a matter of weeks. Most of us know that is not a reality. But even those who do understand that it takes time to build an online business still struggle when they try to make money online. Here are the 5 most common mistakes everyone makes when they first start a work from home online business.

1. Not Having A Solid Business Model.

A clear and solid business model will have an identified target audience who are looking to buy the products or services that you are selling. You are not going to be very successful if you start a work from home online business without any idea of what you are going to sell, who you are going to sell it to and how you will sell it to them.

2. No List Building Strategy.

If you have been looking at how to make money online for any length of time you will have heard the saying “the money is in the list”. To earn money from the people on your list it’s important that over time you engage with your list and get them to know, like and trust you. Give the people on your list solutions to their problems, answer their questions and aim to improve an aspect of their lives. They’ll soon start to look forward to your emails and to trust your opinions and recommendations.

3. Having A Poor Marketing Funnel.

A marketing funnel is the process that starts from the time when a prospective customer clicks on your link to them becoming a customer who regularly buys from you. The traditional marketing funnel starts where you offer your prospects something of value to them for free (like a free report or ebook) in exchange for their email address. If they like the free report and as you guide them through your marketing funnel, they may consider purchasing a low, medium or high priced products from you.

4. Not Generating Any Traffic.

The biggest problem that most people have when they try to make money online is generating traffic. There are two main routes to take when it comes to website traffic. There’s free traffic or paid traffic. The best traffic strategy for your work form home online business is to use a mixture of both free and paid strategies.

5. Not Prepared To Learn From Others.

It is surprising how many people try to start a work from home online business believing that they know everything there is to know. They dive in head first, get overwhelmed, waste time and money and then throw in the towel, thinking that the whole idea of making money online is not possible. Think of it this way. If you started a new job working for someone else, you would assume that somebody would show you how the business runs and how to do your job properly. Why should it be any different when you want to make money online from home?

Tips to Help Create Your Residual Income From Home

Creating a residual income from home is very intriguing. If you decide to get involved in a home business to create a residual income, here are 7 tips to get you jump started.

1. Make sure your decision is a firm one. You see, making a decision vs making a firm decision contrast sharply. The reason I say this is because there are thousands, if not millions, that wish to make more money from home. Making the money is the easy part. Deciding to stick it out to make the money is the hard part.

Why? Statistics show that over 95% of new home based businesses fail within the first 90-120 days. Why is this failure rate so high? Great question. In my opinion, the initial decision to get involved was not a firm decision. That means you proceed forward no matter what. There will be obstacles, challenges, setbacks, etc. along the way. But if you have a firm ‘no matter what’ mindset, you are on your way.

2. Get the support of your loved ones. Running a home based business is hard work. Just like any other business, you must have the support of your spouse, partner, family, loved one, or the person that is closest to you and your life. Without their support and the ‘no matter what’ attitude from step 1 above, you will fall into the 95% that quit, fail, or just move on to something easier.

3. Set aside a home work space. Setting up your home work environment is crucial. It is important that your treat your work from home office area as your typical 9 to 5 office. When you are in your work from home office you are there to work. You are there to get things done. You are there to further your business. Removing distractions can be challenging when you work from home. Try to limit them as much as possible.

4. Manage your time. It is very easy to become consumed with your laptop or your PC when working from home. There is tons of information and education for an online marketer or work from home expert to process. Take it day by day and be sure to balance your time for family, recreation, etc. When you are balanced you are fresh. Your business should be considered a marathon and not a sprint.

5. Find a mentor. Having a mentor is very important when working from home. Hopefully, your mentor is a residual income expert and very successful. After all, to be the best you need to learn from the best. A mentor is someone that can help you when you need it. A mentor is someone you respect. A mentor is someone that has already accomplished something you wish to accomplish. There are great mentors available online today. Take the time a find yours.

6. Be professional. Regardless of your business, make sure you carry yourself as a professional. What is a professional? Someone that respects others, treats his home business like any other business, and tries to help others along the way.

7. Automate your business as much as possible. Remember that you are just one person. But, having the automated marketing tools that work for you are vital. The proper marketing tools can replace some of the human factor. And, if setup properly are easy to manage (unlike some employees).
